You can keep selling without internet

The POS still opens when the internet is down. Sales and check-in/out are saved on the device and upload by themselves once it reconnects. One condition: sign in once where there is internet before the event.

① Set up the device

You only do this once. Tap the device you use.

iPad

  1. Open Safari. It cannot be installed from other apps (Chrome, or a page opened inside a messenger).
  2. Type pos.jeisha.kr/pos in the address bar.
  3. Tap the Share button at the top (a square with an arrow pointing up).
  4. Choose “Add to Home Screen”, then “Add” at the top right.
  5. Open the POS from the new MDN POS icon on the Home Screen. Always use this icon from now on.
On iPad, the POS opened from the icon and the POS opened in Safari keep separate storage. Do the preparation (②) and the event itself from the icon.

② Before the event — where there is internet

If you skip this, the POS will not open at the venue. Do it the day before, at the office or hotel.
If head office changes prices, discounts or promotions, do this preparation again after the change. Without internet the POS sells at the last prices it received.

③ During the event — without internet

Use it as usual. Only the differences are listed here.

Sign-in and check-in

Selling

TaskWithout internet
Cash sale✅ Works as usual
Card sale⚠️ The card terminal itself must approve the payment. If the terminal approves, record it in the POS as card. If the terminal does not work either, cards cannot be accepted.
Check-in · check-out · shift change✅ Saved on the device → uploads once connected
Coupon check❌ Not possible — after reconnecting
Cancel · refund❌ Not possible — write it down and process after reconnecting
Sales history❌ Server history is not shown. Use the waiting list below to see today’s unsent sales
Opening float · day close❌ After reconnecting (for check-out see ④)
Add new staff❌ After reconnecting

The waiting list

Tap the connection status at the top to open 📴 Sales not yet sent. It lists each unsent sale with time, payment method and amount, plus cash / card totals and unsent check-in/out records. Use the totals when you count the cash.

If the internet comes back

You do not need to tap anything. Within about 30 seconds you see 🟢 Connected again — uploading waiting sales and the waiting count goes down.

④ Checking out

Without internet, tapping Check out opens 📴 Check out without internet.
  1. Try a hotspot first. Turn on your phone’s personal hotspot (tethering), connect the POS device to it, then tap 🔄 Reconnect.
When it connects you see 🟢 Connected — continuing with normal check-out and the normal check-out screen follows (expected cash → day close). This is the best way. It takes a minute or two.
  2. If it still cannot connect you see Still not connected. Count the cash in the drawer, enter only the amount you counted, and tap Save count and check out. The expected amount is not shown — do not try to match anything, enter what you counted.
  3. If there were no cash transactions at all, tap No cash · check out without counting.
  4. Check the number of unsent records shown at the bottom, take a photo of the waiting list with your phone and send it to the manager.
The check-out time is the moment you tap the button. The manager checks the difference and closes the day after reconnecting.

⑤ After the event — the same night

  1. Where there is internet (hotel or office Wi-Fi, a hotspot), open the POS on that same device and sign in.
  2. Tap the status at the top to open the waiting list. If anything is left, tap Send now.
  3. You are done when you see ✓ Nothing waiting — every sale has reached the server and the top shows 🟢 Online with no waiting count.
  4. If the opening float or the day close was skipped, do it now. The POS asks about earlier unclosed days first.
Even for a multi-day event, connect and upload once a day. Sales older than 7 days go to manager review after upload, and if the device is lost in the meantime the records are lost with it.

Do not

Do not do any of the following until the waiting count is 0. Unsent sales and check-in/out records are erased and cannot be recovered.
